The Arecibo Message is a message sent to space in 1974 to celebrate the completion of the Arecibo telescope in the USA's Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The message itself is said to be a depiction of the origins of mankind.[1]
The message is made of 1,679 binary bits.[1]
