An organization with influence spanning the globe, the GAI Organization is a company with a solid foundation of scientific and technological development.
The group is working on the development of Earth Simulator GAIA, with the prodigal boy genius hacker Asuma Soga at the heart of the project. Asuma’s two subordinates; Ewan Okuda and Graham Kingley, got dispatched in Nakano City with the intention to find and capture a “certain someone”.
In the late 2020s, countries across the globe hurried to develop QCDC-derived Earth Simulators first. Winning the race would be akin to winning the future itself, but the dangers of such technology skewed the public opinion towards outrage. In the year 2029, an international accord was signed that pledged to suspend the development of all Earth Simulators, whether they be from the public or private sector. The GAIA Earth Simulator's development was suspended as well... or at least it was supposed to have been.
The highest performing QCDC in Japan, if not the world itself, is the GAI QCDC. Its head researcher Asuma appears to have used the Gai QCDC to complete the GAIA simulator.[1]
