- The name Kent means “constitution, law” (
憲 , ken) and “Big Dipper, ten sho (vol), sake dipper” (斗 , to).[6] - Kent's surname Korihisa means “old” (
古 , ko), “ri, village, parent's home, league” (里 , ri) and “long time, old story” (久 , hisa).[7]
